Welcome to the Rutland Sportsman’s Club 

Incorporated in 1932, the Rutland Sportsman’s Club (RSC) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to outdoor sportsmanship, conservation, and community. While we are a member-focused club, we proudly host popular public events throughout the year—including our annual spring Game Dinner, summer golf tournament, Ice Fishing Derby, seasonal trap and archery programs, live music events and meat raffles. We also offer state-certified safety courses, including MA Hunter Safety, LTC/FID licensing, and Boater Safety classes.

For our members and their families, RSC offers a strong community spirit with signature events like the Kids’ Fishing Derby, a summer-long fishing competition, the Big Buck/Big Doe Contest, and specialized youth and women’s shooting programs.

Facilities & Amenities Our clubhouse has a rich history, built around an original Long Pond cottage moved to the property in 1932. Today, the expanded facility features:

• A main full-service bar open daily for members, plus a lower-level bar area

• Billiards, darts, and game areas

• A full commercial kitchen

• A large function hall available to both members and non-members for private events

• Outdoor amenities including BBQ areas and horseshoe pits

• Indoor pistol range and outdoor rifle/pistol shooting ranges

• Seasonal Archery Programs – Indoors and outdoors
• Seasonal Trap Shooting Program
• Pheasant raising & stocking program

Community Support We are proud partners with local first responders, law enforcement, and youth groups. RSC regularly hosts the local Police Department for range training and welcomes area Scout troops and first responder agencies to use our facilities whenever possible.

Get an Application: Download a form using the link at the top or bottom of this page, or pick one up at the clubhouse. Current membership dues and initiation fees are detailed on the application.

Fulfill Requirements & Volunteer: All members agree to meet basic membership criteria and contribute a few hours of volunteer time each year during our many events.

Get Sponsored: Need 3 member sponsor signatures? Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone yet! Stop by the clubhouse any afternoon after 3:00 PM and knock on the back door facing the fishing pond. Introduce yourself, chat with a few members, and we’ll help you get started.
